ABOUT THE ALBUM COVER
“Gross Pathology of Normal Brain vs Brain of Patient Treated With Methylene Blue Before Death”, medical photo by Mikael Häggström, M.D. Image is public domain. Is half of this image on Wikipedia (whole image has whole brain, not just slices).
This photo is the album cover because it speaks to me. I saw it and was fascinated by it.
I didn’t use it for the gross-out factor, I don’t find it gross. I don’t like it when bands use gross or shocking imagery. I love the Butthole Surfers but didn’t like when I saw them live and they were showing graphic images of eyeball surgery on a big screen behind them. That seemed like shock for its own sake.
This blue brain and sliced blue brain medical photo isn’t shocking to me. It just speaks to me of what is the mind vs what is the brain, and what are we? Are we this little 3-pound universe that doesn’t look much different than our intestines, but is a powerful supercomputer made from the result of digesting food.
Is that us?

I’ve listened to it twice. Diggin’ it. But I can’t put my finger on WHY. But that’s true of ALL music I like. I just…LIKE IT.
Next time, Listen #3, I’m going to listen all the way through without interruption. First two times were chopped up, a few minutes here, a few minutes there. That’s not a fair way to listen but I was anxious to get started, yet had to interrupt often.
biptunia i am your biggest fan 🔥🔥🔥
Why?
And how’d you find it?
i think the music you make is so wildly different from most other artists. the dark ambience resonates with me in a great way and it’s fun to lose myself in your music. also i found your music through microtonal playlists on spotify. also also, i’ve commented on this website before under the name ‘banana duck’ which you might recognize and i accidentally used my real life name for my previous comment, oopsies
Thank you!
