…Except Cave chanting on Release the Artisanal Tardigrades by Sir Michael Higgins and a bipedal ape with a bad hip. And…
The Shoulder Thing That Goes Up has a bit of talking from a cool guy and a horrible woman. She used to have power, but now is back to yelling at strangers on the street, probably.
TRACK LIST:
1. Dord Density of Solid Metallic Hydrogen
2. Xenochrony My Xenochronous Xenochrony, All Night Long
3. The Shoulder Thing That Goes Up
4. Pentatonic Phrygian Open-Eye Visuals

These songs are microtonal:
- Therac-25 Malfunction 54 in Eagle 53 (John O’Sullivan, Eagle 53 temperament)
- Pentatonic Phrygian Open-Eye Visuals (phryg penta: Schlesinger’s Phrygian Harmonia in the pentachromatic genus)
The rest are in standard 12-TET. However…..These are Xenochronous (Zappa’s technique of using intact parts from other songs in new songs):
- Dord Density of Solid Metallic Hydrogen
- Xenochrony My Xenochronous Xenochrony All Night Long
- 56,000 Distant Suns Photographed from Our Farm Paddock
I used parts from the BipTunia songs But you don’t look Sick, Marc Sporkolova, and I’m a Lone, Broke Cowpoke From Biptunia’s 27th album, and the song A Prominent Albedo Feature on Mars from BipTunia’s albums 53-54. I combined different synth lines and bass lines from different songs, but also wrote new parts around and on top of them.
MEANING OF “DORD” IN FIRST SONG TITLE:
It’s a non-word that was actually was in Websters Dictionary for 5 years as a synonym for “Density.”
….Entered by editor from a handwritten note form a researcher that said “D or d, Density”, they thought it was Dord.
Was actually “capital D or small d could abbreviate for density in scientific writings.”
