DOWNLOAD Simple Microtonal Sampler v1.0 HERE (5.3 megs.)
NOTE: If it seems like it’s crashing, it’s not. The issue is usually that the tuning picker window is open behind something. Look in the system tray and see if there’s what looks like an instance of your DAW besides the main instance. Click on that to open it up, and either close it, or pick another tuning file from the folder inside the folder the VST is in.
Other VSTs we make, including some microtonal
Simple Microtonal Sampler is the ONLY microtonal Windows sampler. And it’s free.
Includes 8 presets (including 2 in 12 TET, standard western common tuning, for comparison), two samples, and 5376 microtonal tunings.
The audio file above is a quick test I did with the two included samples, 31 TET temperament, and some drums.
The vocal sample is Phil Worumth of BipTunia. The music sample is an A-440 sine wave.
Tested with 16-bit and 24-bit WAVs, both mono and stereo.
But of course, you can use your own samples. That’s the whole point!
Any WAV can be imported into the
/samples
subfolder.
Enjoy, and please tell two friends.
