Not many albums made an impression on me like Hits of Acid by Bomb. Darker & heavier than almost anything I’d ever heard. Just pure, distilled EVIL. The drumming especially impressed me, where drummer Blind Tony Fag created a beat that sounded like double bass but was created by a brilliant use of floor tom & kick. Lyrics like “Twelve punches from a pimp and you know you’ve been beat to death” fucking haunted me & painted a brutal, yet articulate descriptions of how painful life can be.
Not Metal but soooooooo heavy and incredible memorable song writing. This album changed my perception of heavy music. Was a great thrill to connect with bass player/vocalist Mike W Dean and express to him the massive impact this album had on me.
Listen at your own risk. Don’t say I didn’t warn you
Sounds great!!!
Thanks for the Christmas gift of wild and crazy psychosexual punk rock with a dash of Jazz!
You’re the best, Jay Morgan Crawford!
Happy end of year to you and yours.
Michael W. Dean
Sounds so good. Thank you, Michael!
