This will help me.<\/p>\n<p>FYI, every one of these steps are actually several, or many, steps.<\/p>\n<p>Posting to website so I won&#8217;t lose it. lol.<\/p>\n<p>Updated Oct 2025.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>WHEN ALL SONGS DONE:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Master songs<\/li>\n<li>Sequence songs.<\/li>\n<li>Replace files of any songs with issues.<\/li>\n<li>Do single-file album output, checking levels are right.<\/li>\n<li>Needle drops through single file<\/li>\n<li>Analysis on left vs. right volumes, adjust tiny bit if needed, then recheck.<\/li>\n<li>Raise and lower by tiny bit any songs and sections too quiet or too loud<\/li>\n<li><strong>Listen to entire file.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>\u00a0(IF LYRICS) Work on lyric sheet while listening. Include notes and microtonal scales, and notes about making of songs, if there is a story.<\/li>\n<li>Make any needed adjustments.<\/li>\n<li>Replace curly quotes with straight in Lyric sheet<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>&#8212;&#8211;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li>Make versions of cover art in these sizes, in JPGs (all square, in pixels): 2000, 1700, 450, 220.<\/li>\n<li>Release single file on Bip and Feens site.<\/li>\n<li>Announce release online.<\/li>\n<li>Add album to BANDCAMP<\/li>\n<li>Do DistroKid release.<\/li>\n<li>Add Bandcamp \/ Spotify, etc to player page.<\/li>\n<li>Add to page &#8220;ALL ALBUMS&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>Make song MP3s (224 Kbs) for Tor and Streaming. <strong>Numbering format 01, NOT 1!<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Make FLAC lossless torrent.<\/li>\n<li>Link torrents on album page.<\/li>\n<li>Add FLAC page link to &#8220;ALL ALBUMS&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0(IF LYRICS) add lyrics to lyric page<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Clear cache on pages as I go<\/li>\n<li>Promote all everywhere on Facebeast (all groups I admin) and Tweeter daily online for a week.<\/li>\n<li>PROMO ON FLAC PAGES<\/li>\n<li>ADD to seedbox.<\/li>\n<li>Once on Spotify from DistroKid, Share on Twitter, Facebook (all groups, tag Link), and put on player pages on website.<\/li>\n<li>Once on Spotify also add the microtonal songs to <a href=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/playlist\/70d4bxQpwBM4EPvLj0OmhO\">Bugs&#8217; microtonal playlist<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Send zipped torrent to people who ask for that.<\/li>\n<li>Back up all files, onsite and off, and clear Reaper folder for next album.<\/li>\n<li>Link on Synth and Music groups on Facebeef where I&#8217;m a member.<\/li>\n<li>Put new songs on streaming feed, and in archive folder for same, change folder number name.<\/li>\n<li>Add torrent file to torrent folder on archive drive.<\/li>\n<li>Add updated RSS file to above.<\/li>\n<li>Sweet WordPress, backup WordPress output plus DB.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I finally made a checklist for what I do to release each album.
