Here at Intergalactic Prairie Studios, when a tool we want doesn’t exist, we build it. That’s why we started BIPTUNIA SYNTHS. These VSTs are the cure for existential dread, at least for a few hours.<\/p>\n

We use these tools, but we also share them with you. And all are free. (Donate here<\/a> if you want.) Also, check out my microtonal music<\/a> made with the microtonal 64-bit VSTs below.<\/strong><\/p>\n

64-bit Windows VSTs<\/strong><\/h3>\n

2025: PRETTY GOOD SAMPLER<\/a>. New free unique sampler VST from BipTunia Synths<\/p>\n

MICROTONE 5000<\/a>, new free Microtonal VST. I’d try this one first. (VST3 and VST2 available) For the VST3, download that but also go to “How to use PRESETS for VST3 Microtone 5000″<\/a> to download the presets and learn to install them.<\/p>\n

Simple Microtonal Sampler<\/a>, v1.5 (FIXED, as of March 2023). You can use a sample of any instrument to re-tune it microtonally. (VST3 and VST2 available)<\/p>\n

Orion Ring Modulator<\/a> (New free wild VST effect) (VST3 and VST2 available)<\/p>\n

FreakBone 9000<\/a> (experimental crazy sounding microtonal VST synth) (VST2 available)<\/p>\n

Simple Microtonal Synth<\/a> is an an older synth, but has some cool presets. Is 64-bit VST2.<\/p>\n

TROUBLESHOOTING: If you have trouble running (or accessing the presets in) the VST3, try the VST2.<\/p>\n

If you can’t use VST2s or prefer to use VST3s, and can get Microtone 5000 working but doesn’t show the presets, go to How to use PRESETS for VST3 Microtone 5000<\/a> to read and download the presets.<\/p>\n

If still having problems, go to https:\/\/www.synthedit.com\/downloads\/<\/a><\/p>\n

Go to “Other downloads you may require” and install the .NET 4.6<\/a>
\nIf still trouble, install Visual C++ Redistributable Packages<\/a> (get Visual Studio 2015, 2017, 2019, and 2022<\/a>), note you’ll have to pick the one for your processor, Intel or AMD.<\/p>\n

Restart your computer between attempts.<\/p>\n
